Description:
NH GRANIT is under contract to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to further develop the digital floodplain data for Merrimack and Hillsborough Counties, NH. The objective of the project is to take the digital flood data from "Preliminary" status to "Effective" status as defined by FEMA guidelines and specifications. This process entails submitting the Preliminary Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) to the individual communities within the counties, incorporating any revisions or appeals returned by the communities upon review of the preliminary data, and ensuring that the new "Effective" DFIRMs are adopted by the communities.
